Homeschooling program for Grades 4-12
‼️ NOW ENROLLING FOR SEPT 2025, GRADES 4 TO 12‼️
Looking to get your child out of the public school environment? Now enrolling students in grades 4 to 12 for 2025-26!
How it works?
Students enrolled in a government-accredited Provincial Online Learning School (POLS) attend our in-person support program Monday through Thursday from 8:20 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for academic support from qualified instructors. We are located at 15515 24 Ave #61, Surrey, BC V4A 2J4.
Will my child still need to attend public school?
No, online learning is a recognized alternative to in-person learning in public schools. Your child will no longer be required to attend public school every day.
Will my child receive credits toward their high school graduation?
Yes, online learning is a funded and accredited alternative to in-person learning in public schools. Students take the same curriculum and the same required courses as public school students.
How is this program different from Muslim schools?
Muslim schools are registered government-funded independent schools, whereas QLM Learning is a learning centre that offers in-person support for distance learners. We offer academic support for students up to and including grade 12.
How is this program different from homeschooling?
Traditional homeschooling, which is done entirely by parents, does not lead to a high school diploma. It also requires significant time and effort from parents and may lack facilities and social opportunities for students. This program offers in-person support to students enrolled in Ministry-accredited online learning programs so they can pursue a high school diploma in a safe environment. It takes a significant burden off of parents by offering in-person academic support from qualified instructors.
Who is running the program?
The program's founder and Director is Omar Abdul Fatah, a trained school counselor, BC-certified teacher, local khateeb, TEDx speaker, and student of Islamic knowledge. Br. Omar has a Master of Education in School Counselling, a Bachelor of Education, TEFL certification, and a Master Tutor certification from the College Reading & Learning Association. He also has a certificate in the foundations of Arabic and a diploma in Islamic studies from Al-Ihsan Institute.
