The White Rock Muslim Association is embarking on an incredible journey to Camp Whonnock in Maple Ridge. We invite you and your family to join us for this fun-filled, family-oriented community camping trip!
Spend the weekend in the company of your friends, family and greater Muslim Community as we immerse ourselves in the beauty of Allah (SWT)'s creation.
Campers can expect a wide array of team activities that will be fun and promote community building and a sense of togetherness, particularly for the youth. In particular, there will be enhanced programming for young campers and leadership development opportunities for young adults.
The days will be filled with activities, e.g. boating, hiking, campfires, sports, exploration and fun evening programs! Feel free to join in or sit back, relax and soak up the environment.
Camp site
Sleeping Arrangements
There is limited cabin space. Registration will strictly follow the first-come-first-serve system. Preference will also be given to current WRMA members.
Please do not expect to have a cabin reserved for your family. Families may be split up and assigned specific rooms to maximize the sleeping space. Families desiring to stay together are encouraged to bring and set up a tent as ample tenting space is available in the adjacent field. While we make a total effort to keep families together, priority will be given to filling up cabin space. Changes to the sleeping arrangements will not be permitted.
Cabins
Insulated Cabins that have covered porches, windows, and ventilation will be available.
Campers will need to bring their mattress, and sleeping bag (or sheets and pillows). These bunks are wooden, and no mattress is provided.
Amenities
There is an industrial scale Kitchen, indoor washroom and shower, including wheelchair accessible facilities.
Tents
There is a tenting area with a fire pit and a picnic shelter. Campers are more than welcome to bring their own tent if preferred.
